An EEG ( Electroencephalography) is a method to record an electrogram of the spontaneous electrical activity of the brain. The biosignals detected by EEG have been shown to represent the postsynaptic potentials of pyramidal neurons in the neocortex and allocortex . A Quantitative EEG is also known as a Brain Mapping, and is recognized by the board of psychiatry. A Routine EEG is the main diagnostic test used by neurologists to analyze the health and behavior of the brain.
A Videonystagmography (VNG) is a test that measures a type of eye movement that you can't control. These eye movements are called nystagmus. With nystagmus, your eyes move from side to side, up and down, or in a circle. The movements can be slow or fast, steady or jerky.
An Evoked Potential is a test that gauges your brain's response to certain visual or physical stimuli. It is a very good indicator of brain trauma.
